The Department of Education is encouraging the public to fill out and submit the survey form below. The deadline for completion of the public survey is May 31, 2008.

The Board of Education believes that:

Public school parents, students, employees, and community members should be afforded the opportunity to provide input to the use of moneys received by the Department of Education and the budget should have their support;
The Board and Department should be held accountable to the general public for the use of public moneys;
The Department’s budget should be transparent and understandable; and
The Department should take the public’s comments and concerns into consideration prior to submitting a final proposal to the Board for approval.
