Important Notes/Tips

General

  • DO NOT use the internet browser back arrow. do not use BACK button

    • If you accidentally click the back arrow, try clicking on
      refresh refresh button to see if your connection can be re-established.

  • Disable pop-up blockers.

  • For security purposes the system will automatically time out after thirty (30) minutes of inactivity. Five minute warning messages will pop-up before you are logged out. If you receive the five minute warning message, please save your work immediately and resume activity to prevent yourself from being timed out.

  • You must have your own unique email address that is not shared with anyone else.

    additional information about the specific field.

  • Click on the Help Help icon icon in the top right-hand corner to access this document.




Action Buttons

For selected fields of information, data is entered utilizing Action Buttons:

  • Personal Info – Address, Phone Number

  • Qualifications – Degrees, Licenses/Certificates , Student Teaching/Internship/Practicum
    Events, Other Credits/Coursework

  • Work Experience – Professional Teaching Experience, Active Military Experience, Other
    Work Experience

  • References

  • Documents

IMPORTANT NOTE for Current DOE employees only:

  • Changes to addresses must be made using Form 107A (Reporting Changes to Personal
    Employee Information). If you have any questions, contact the appropriate Records and
    Transactions section: 808-586-3395 (Certificated) or 808-586-3272 (Classified).

  • Access to edit existing information may be limited (i.e., existing degrees, other
    credits/coursework, etc.). However, you may add new information in these areas.

button: Click here to add new address

Click to ADD a new entry when there is no data existing for this type of information.

Other examples of button verbiage:
Click Here to Add New Phone Number, Click Here to Add New Degrees, etc

button: click here to view selected address

Click to VIEW existing entry/ies.

Other examples of button verbiage:
Click Here to View Selected Phone Number, Click Here to View Selected Degrees, etc.

button: new

Click to CREATE a new entry.

NOTE: Addresses and Phone Numbers are limited to a
maximum of two entries.

button: delete Click to DELETE an existing entry.
button: back Click to CANCEL an action.
button: save changes Click to SAVE an entry.





Icons and Navigation

Navigation Object Icon Description
Button "go to application" button Click to RETURN to the application (whether already
submitted or pending submittal) from My Application History.
Button "delete application" button Click to DELETE application before submitting from My
Application History and within application steps.
Button "go to next step" button

Click to go to the next step in the application process.

NOTE: If there are required fields that are left blank, you will not be able to move to the next step and you will see an error message. Complete the required fields then click on this button to move to the next step.

Button "go to previous step" button

Click to go to return to the previous step in the application process.

NOTE: If there are required fields that are left blank, you will not be able to move to the previous step and you will see an error message. Complete the required fields then click on this button to move to the previous step.

Calendar/Clock calendar/clock icon The Calendar and Clock icon allows users to open a
calendar and select a date. Users may also enter the date
directly into the field if they do not want to pull up a calendar.
Manually entered dates need to follow the following format:
MM/DD/YYYY.
Drop down menus drop down menu Downward blue arrows indicate drop down menus which are predefined options that users may select from.
Flashlight flashlight The Flashlight icon indicates a “look up” feature that allows
users to view and select specific information. Alternatively,
information may be keyboarded directly into the field.
Radio Button radio button Radio Buttons enable you to select a specific item that you
would like to work on.
Required Fields asterisk indicating required field The asterisk indicates this is a required field. The system prevents users from moving forward with a specific task if a required field is not completed.
